MG's

For those of you who are not aware, Sarah is waiting for a missionary. To help her deal with the fact that Cody is gone for the next almost two years she has joined a facebook group for girl's waiting for missionaries. They refer to themselves as MG's meaning Missionary's Girl. So apparently they have occasional get-togethers to talk about their missionaries and how they are all coping. So they had one of these meetings on tuesday night. Sarah does not know any of these girls, so understandably, she did not want to go by herself. But all the the other girls she knows that are waiting for missionaries could not go, so she asked me to go with her, and being the AMAZING friend that I am, I went. I was kind of worried that these girls would shun me because I am not waiting for a missionary. So we pretended that I am waiting for a missionary. We used one of my guy friends who is on his mission as my missionary. I knew that because I was lying that there would be someone there that I knew. That's just how my life goes. So we get there and I don't know anyone, and I am excited about this fact. I tell the girls that my missionary has been out for almost 13 months and that he is serving in Budapest, Hungary, which would all be true if I was actually waiting for Conner. Basically I sat on the couch eating and not really talking or anything the entire night. As I am listening to the conversations around me I hear a name I am very familiar with. Terri Ann Gibbs. This is a girl who was an EFY counselor with my siblings, and i have heard her name many times, mostly from Sean Tanner. Apprently he likes to make fun of her. So I immediately text my brother, sister, and sean. And then, Terri brings up EFY. And I have to say something. So we make the connection and she starts texting my brother, telling him that I have a missionary. Great. So I have to quickly text my brother and tell him to just go with it if she tells him I am waiting for a missionary. Then I tell Sean the same thing, just in case Terri starts texting him as well. Then a girl shows up who works at the same place I do and we make that connection. So I have to lie to these girls and tell them I don't have facebook, and that that is why I am not in the waiting for a missionary group.
That was my night of adventure.
Also I got a call from the guy I am being set up with for the most recent cousins date, which will be taking place on saturday. He plays the tuba in the BYU marching band.... yeah. I will let you know how that goes.
