I know none of you will believe me...

but i definitely was minding my business just walking through the wilk on my way to get some dinner when who should walk past me? Jean-Marc Genereux & France Mousseau. Yeah. for those of you underprivileged, these amazing people are choreographers on my favorite show So You Think You Can Dance. I was in shock. I just stood there and all i could to was stare. I was fascinated but I was too scared to do anything, particularly since Jean-Marc was on his phone speaking french and sounding all important and they were definitely walking with a purpose. They actually seemed quite intimidating. so that is my celebrity sighting for the day.

Rafting down the river

This past weekend I took a little trip down to Moab, went camping and then rafted down the Colorado river. And let me just tell you, it was beautiful and amazing. I absolutely loved the scenery. The sun shining overhead, the gorgeous rock formations and the puffy white clouds all combined in the most amazing picture I have ever seen.

Amidst all the beautiful scenery there was a slight mishap that I would like to share with you all right now. About 30 minutes into our 6 hour float down the river members of our party on other rafts attacked and tried to throw everyone on my raft into the murky brown waters. As the boy sitting in front of me was thrown off, an oar somehow managed to fly into the air and smack me square in the forehead. Ouch. Let's just say there were some tears involved and a very grouchy Marci. As the day progressed I started feeling better and I was able to have fun with the rest of the group.

About halfway down the river we stopped at a little sandy beach area and cut into the watermelons we had brought along. It was my first time really playing in sand and I had a little too much fun. I ended up with Sand in my swimsuit for the rest of the day, but I think that was mostly due to Bruce dumping sand down the back of my swimsuit. I thoroughly enjoyed my shower when I got home on saturday night.

When we finally finished floating down the river we deflated the rafts and headed into downtown Moab, which is way cute and I totally want to go back and go shopping there sometime. We stopped at the Moab Diner and had dinner, which was delicious. Then we started the trek home. When we finally got back to Provo I showered and went to bed.

When I woke up on this morning I had a pounding headache and my entire body was sore. I stayed home from church and started feeling better, but I have not yet fully recovered. I still have a constant headache and the bump on my head is still slightly visible. I don't think I have a concussion but I am not entirely sure as I have felt nauseas throughout the day, and I just feel off. I just want to better in time for work tomorrow or I will have to stay home as I don't think my head could handle the noise at the bindery.

sweet relief

i hate to be all preachy and stuff in a blog, but Heavenly Father sure knows what He's doing and knows how to give us just what we need, although it may not be exactly come in the form that we asked for. because this is definitely just what i need to make it through. i can see the light at the end of the tunnel already. :]

I said what I wanted to say

I am typically a very outgoing and friendly person. I love to talk to anyone and everyone and I usually say what is on my mind, which can cause problems sometimes, but it usually turns out okay. One thing I do not do, however, is tell boys how I feel about them, particularly if I like a boy. Yet on tuesday night as I found myself hanging out with one of my guy friends I found myself telling him that I liked him, to his face, when the conversation had not even led us to this topic. I guess I really don't have a filter and whatever I am thinking just kind of comes out. And surprisingly I am still alive and my life has continued. Who knew that it wouldn't be the end of the world.

I am glad I had this experience and I am still hoping for the best while expecting the worst. Oh how I love the ups and downs of life and the emotional mood swings I am blessed with.

On to other news. There are some songs that I am in love with right now. They are:

Out of My League (Steven Speaks): This song always puts me in a good, especially when I sing along with it

For the Best (Straylight Run): Thanks to my friend Jackson from work for telling me this was an amazing song, because it really is

Broken (Lifehouse): This song makes any day better. Thanks to my roommie Merrilee for letting me steal this CD

AEIOU (Charlotte Sometimes): Okay really I love any song by her but this one is particularly fantastic

Viva La Vida (Coldplay): This song puts me in a good mood anytime I listen to it.

4 Minutes (Madonna, Justin Timberlake, and Timbaland): Reminds me of dance parties with Sarah Joelle, which I can not wait until she comes back so we can have them in the room that we will be sharing.

And lastly I have rediscovered how much I love love love Mae. I never get tired of listening to their music and it reminds me of happy times in my life.

Also I wish I was going to the John Mayer concert. And I wish someone would set up this date he asked me on...

Family Fun?

I am blessed enough to be in the tiny town of Ely, Nevada this weekend for a fun filled time with my family. Or that is what I thought was going to happen. So far most of the family has been offended by one comment or another, my siblings are slightly getting on my nerves, my youngest cousin who is nine acts like the spawn of satan and no one is really getting along, at all. Good times. Love the family. And this is all within 24 hours of being together. 2 more days to go and not enough drugs in the world to make it better.

I would also like to comment on Sarah's most recent post. Miley Cyrus is a confused young women who has probably not had the best role models in her life and whose father most likely isn't helping in raising her to be a fine upstanding citizen, as most of our parents raised us to be. So I know that I am kind of the pot calling the kettle black, I think that it is not our place to judge her for her misguided attempts at gaining approval of the society, as society in which super thin models and trashy girls gain the most attention. yeah, I don't know where that came from but there you go.

Tomorrow is another day, and hopefully a better one that is not filled with so many family activities. Also my dad and favorite brother are coming to Ely tomorrow so hopefully that will also provide relief and grant me with some sanity. Hopefully.
