its true/stairway to hell

this is sarah, and i just wanted to take a moment to endorse m's previous blog post.

around this time one year ago, i was just a sad, single girl, pining for a boy. when lo and behold, my roommate marci descended upon the situation, worked a little magic, and WHABAM. the next day, i had a date with the boy. and now, almost 365 days later (yes, that's a year), here i am, still dating that SAME BOY. miracles do happen, ladies and gents. marci can help.

**my name is sj, and i approve this message.

hokay, so, i would like to take this opportunity to blog about the stairway to hell, aka the stairs south of campus. ok, i know that they are necessary since byu is way uphill from everything south of campus, but i can still hate them. especially in the morning. when you're tired. and its cold. and you have an insanely heavy backpack. UGH.

ok, well my initial experiences with these stairs were winter semester and usually took place at night. cody would come and get me from my apartment when he would get home from work, and then we'd walk down to will and justin's apartment, which was in liberty square, which is south of campus. then, on the way home (which was usually between the hours of 1 and 3 a.m....in the freezing cold) we'd get to go up the stairs. usually cody had to pull me up the last few sets because i was about ready to lay down and die.

now i get the neverending joy of going up the stairs every weekday for class, and every sunday for church. you would think that after going up the stairs for, oh, FOUR MONTHS, you'd get used to them. NEWSFLASH: you don't. they still suck as much.

joyful will be the day that someone invents outdoor escalators and byu installs them in place of the endless stairs between campus and south campus.

that picture does not do those stairs justice.

No stairs at BYU-I. Just lots of icy, slippery sidewalks.
